Leveraging The Value of People

Young People

I’ve found “A mind, once expanded by a new idea, never returns to its original dimensions” – Oliver Wendell Holmes

Susan Popoola is a Human Resources Consultant, specialising in Talent Management but she’s also so much more.  She is the published author of two books that explore the world in which we live – reflecting on the opportunities, challenges, evolution and diversity of today’s societies.

Any young person who has the opportunity to interact with Susan and listen to her speak will be taken on a journey that inspires them to think outside of the box and realise that the world is really and truly their oyster – full of opportunities to be exploited.  They will find themselves both appreciating and recognising both their own unique value and worth and that of the people that surround them both locally and globally.  This is critical to encourage engagement and as a result individual performance and overall school standards.

Lest you ask why:

Although Susan knew that she wanted to write for a living and also knew precisely why, she was initially discouraged from this path as it was described as unprofitable. After her 1st Degree in Political Science, she therefore ended up gaining a rich experience working in different organisations across various sectors searching for fulfilling roles, which made the most of her various talents. Amongst her other qualifications she obtained a Masters in Human Resources strategy and change – focusing her career in on Human Resources, whilst simultaneously finding time to do research and write books.

Through her career and general interest, Susan has also made the time to travel widely to places inclusive of Japan, Continental Europe, the United States, Haiti and Africa.

Susan relates to both the challenges, concerns and the environment of young people, not only because she once was one, but also because not only has she has been a Youth Worker, she is currently a School Governor, a Business Education Ambassador and most important of all, someone who listens.

Susan gives Talks; hosts Debates and runs workshops on:

Self Identity – The Value of You

Community  – Understanding the Community that You live in.

21st Century Britain – Making it Work

Global Citizenship – Opportunities, Responsibilities and Challenges
